French Lick Municipal Airport (FRH) Transfers

Chauffeur service at French Lick Municipal Airport (FRH), 9764 West County Road 375 South. Resort and golf transfers. Call (502) 835-2838.

French Lick Municipal Airport (FRH / KFRH) is the public airport about three miles southwest of French Lick, Indiana. The city board owns it, and the terminal at 9764 West County Road 375 South, French Lick, IN 47432, is the passenger building. There is not a separate chain FBO on the field. People fly here for French Lick Resort, the West Baden Springs Hotel, and the Pete Dye and Donald Ross courses. Veteran Executive Transportation meets that terminal. Call (502) 835-2838.

What this airport is

FAA records list the airport as publicly owned, with no control tower, about three miles southwest of town. The manager’s phone on those records is 812-936-2222, which is also the number on frenchlickairport.com. Attendance is published as Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with after-hours service at 812-653-5561. The airport’s own site lists Saturday terminal hours ending at 3 p.m. and Sunday as call-out only. If you are arriving on a Saturday afternoon or any Sunday, confirm with the airport that someone will be there, and tell us what they said.

The terminal is the meetup. We do not invent a second FBO name for this field. Fuel, a crew lounge, and a courtesy car are airport services, described on AirNav’s French Lick Airport listing. Our job starts when you walk out of that building, or at the aircraft if the airport has told you the car may come planeside. County Road 375 South is a rural road. The chauffeur needs the terminal, not a pin dropped on the resort.

Resort, golf, and the Louisville connection

French Lick Resort and the West Baden Springs Hotel are about ten minutes from this terminal in ordinary conditions. That short hop is why crews use FRH instead of landing in Louisville and driving. The Pete Dye course and the Donald Ross course are on the resort grounds, so a golf arrival should say which clubhouse if you are not starting at the hotel desk. Luggage and clubs change the vehicle: an SUV seats up to six, and a group with a full set of bags usually needs the 14-passenger shuttle.

If the airplane is actually landing at SDF, use the Atlantic Aviation page or the commercial-terminal notes on the private-aviation overview. That drive to the resort is about an hour and 15 minutes, not the ten-minute hop from FRH. Huntingburg (HNB) is the other southern Indiana field some Orange County trips use; it is a different town and a different quote. A party bus can do a resort weekend night, and it should be booked as the evening vehicle, not squeezed into a surprise pickup on County Road 375 South.

What to send before the aircraft is airborne

We need the date, the tail number or flight identifier, the passenger count, the clubhouse or hotel door, and whether the car waits through the round or only runs the transfer. Flight tracking covers the airborne part. It does not open a Sunday terminal that the airport has on call-out. If the lobby might be closed, say who will meet the chauffeur at the door.

The company is based at 134 Outer Loop in Louisville. A French Lick airport job is a planned trip, not a car that lives at the resort. Same-day requests are a phone call to (502) 835-2838, and only if a vehicle is actually free. The quote form is how a resort weekend gets a written vehicle and a written set of hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a separate FBO at French Lick Municipal?

The municipal airport operates the terminal at 9764 West County Road 375 South. We did not find a second, privately branded FBO on the field, so the reservation should name French Lick Municipal Airport.

How long is the ride to the resort?

About ten minutes from the airport to French Lick Resort and the West Baden Springs Hotel in ordinary conditions. A landing at SDF is a different trip, about an hour and 15 minutes.

Are you staffed at the airport on Sunday?

The airport publishes Sunday as call-out only, and Saturday hours differ between the airport website and the FAA attendance line. Confirm the terminal will be open, then send us that ETA. Our car is reserved through (502) 835-2838, not through the airport desk.

Will golf clubs fit?

Yes, when the vehicle matches the group. An SUV covers a small party and a modest set of bags. A larger group uses the 14-passenger shuttle so clubs are not piled on passengers. Tell us the bag count with the headcount.
