Clark Regional Airport (JVY / KJVY) is the public general-aviation reliever in Sellersburg, Indiana, about five miles north of downtown Jeffersonville. The airport authority is at 6003 Propeller Lane, Sellersburg, IN 47172. Two FBOs handle passengers, and they are not the same door. Aircraft Specialists is at 6005 Propeller Lane. Honaker Aviation is at 7001 Airport Road. Veteran Executive Transportation covers both. The car is booked at (502) 835-2838, and the quote has to name the FBO.
Two lobbies on one airport
Aircraft Specialists (ASI) publishes itself as a full-service FBO on the airport’s own services page, with fuel, maintenance, and a lobby. FlightAware’s FBO listing places that building at 6005 Propeller Lane, Sellersburg, IN 47172, phone 812-246-4696, attended roughly 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with after-hours callout. Honaker Aviation’s AirNav listing is 7001 Airport Road, Sellersburg, IN 47172, phone 812-246-5491, with an after-hours contact of 502-681-4751. Those streets are both on the airport and they are not interchangeable.
Floyd County, including New Albany, does not have its own public airport. Clark Regional is the field those arrivals actually use. A note that only says “Southern Indiana airport” is how a chauffeur ends up at the authority office while the passengers are in the other hangar. Derby week is busy at both FBOs. The operator’s handling choice, ASI or Honaker, is the fact that matters.
Meeting the flight
Send the FBO name, the tail number, the passenger names, and a phone. We track the arrival and meet in that FBO’s lobby. Planeside pickup is whatever that FBO permits on the day, especially when the ramp is full. We do not drive the airport perimeter looking for an unmarked crew. If the trip is an after-hours callout, the FBO has to agree to open; our reservation does not unlock their door.
The airport’s FAA attendance line is 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. That is the field, not a promise that both lobbies are staffed the entire time. Ask the crew which desk has the reservation, then tell us. A commercial passenger who flew into SDF should not be sent here to “save time.” This is a private-aircraft airport.
Louisville, the river cities, and Derby
Downtown Louisville is about 20 to 25 minutes via I-65 in ordinary traffic. The Jeffersonville riverfront is about 15 minutes. New Albany is about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on which bridge you need. Churchill Downs and the exposition center are typically 25 to 30 minutes and slower on race week. Clark Regional is a common private-jet alternate when crews want a Sellersburg ramp instead of Atlantic at SDF.
An owner-flown arrival or a small cabin is an SUV. A jet with eight or ten people and Derby luggage is a 14-passenger shuttle. A stretch limousine fits a formal night that starts at the FBO and ends at a Louisville hotel. The party bus belongs to the group that has the headcount, and it needs a legal place to stage if the FBO asks the bus to wait off the ramp. Say the next address, whether that is the Galt House, a New Albany venue, or Churchill Downs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which FBO do you use at Clark Regional?
Whichever one the aircraft is using. Aircraft Specialists is at 6005 Propeller Lane. Honaker Aviation is at 7001 Airport Road. Both are in Sellersburg. The quote has to name one.
Is this the New Albany airport?
There is no public airport in New Albany or Floyd County. Clark Regional in Sellersburg is the general-aviation field those trips use. Airline flights are still SDF.
How far is JVY from downtown Louisville?
About 20 to 25 minutes by I-65 in ordinary traffic, and longer when Derby or a bridge backup is in the way. Jeffersonville is closer than downtown Louisville.
Can you meet a late arrival?
Yes, if we have the tail number and the FBO will have the passengers at a door. ASI and Honaker publish after-hours contacts of their own. Call (502) 835-2838 once you know the building is actually receiving the flight.
